This year, United Way of the New River Valley has teamed up with partner charities; Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program (MCEAP), Radford Emergency Assistance Program (REAP) and Floyd County Emergency Assistance Program (FCEAP). The four charities have teamed up to provide local families with a Holiday dinner box filled with Holiday dinner essentials. Last year’s efforts provided 1,627 individuals combined with a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal box. While this was a wonderful accomplishment, there are still many more individuals who need this valuable assistance and it will not be possible without the help of our local community.
If you, your company, church, or organization are interested in running a Holiday food drive, please contact the United Way office. Together we can unite and make sure no family in our community goes without a holiday meal!
Donations can be dropped-off at the United Way office in downtown Christiansburg, located at 111 West Main Street. Drop-off hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Fridays from 8:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
