Our Staff


Sara Bohn
Executive Director 

Sara joined the United Way team in 2020. She is the chief professional officer of the organization working with staff, board of directors, volunteers, and the community to execute United Way's mission. Sara works in all areas of the organization and guides the United Way NRV team. Sara is higly engaged in our community as a  a business leader, financial planner, politician, and nonprofit executive. She has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, and an MBA from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute.

Sara lives in Blacksburg with her husband. They have two sons, Steffen is a weekend news anchor and reporter for KSN16, the NBC affiliate in Joplin, Missouri, and Erik is a masters student of economics at BI Norwegian Business School, in Oslo, Norway. When not working, Sara enjoys volunteering her time, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Lois Moorefield Davis
Business Manager

Lois joined the United Way NRV team in 2012. She is primarily responsible for the financial end of our operations concentrating on donations, designations, accounts payable and receivable, pledge processing, and general operations. Before coming to United Way NRV, Lois worked at New River Community College in the Office of Transitional Programs teaching and counseling GED students, at risk young adults, and individuals who were or had been in foster care. She received her undergraduate degree in Education from Virginia Tech.

Lois enjoys volunteering. Some of her volunteering endeavors include Relay for Life Activities Chair and 20+ years in various positions with the Boy Scouts of America. Lois is an avid Hokie, enjoys cross stitch, Claytor Lake, and most outdoor activities. Lois lives in Dublin with her husband, Ron Davis. They have one son, Ronald Davis who is a computer programming professional.


Jessica Greever
Assistant Director of
Campaign Development

Jessica is our Assistant Director of Campaign Development responsible for coordinating employee workplace campaigns.  

Jessica has volunteered with the United Way of the New River Valley, as well as other non-profits for several years. She views challenges as opportunities and tackles projects with enthusiasm.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and she loves the beach.



Lynn Rogers
Director of Resource Development

Lynn is the Director of Resource Development at United Way NRV. She is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships, marketing, and programs including Stuff the Bus and Holiday Meal Boxes. She was a volunteer for the United Way NRV for several years before becoming a team member.

In her spare time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and loves hanging out with her dogs.
