United Way Celebrates 2013 Superheroes

On Thursday, June 27th the United Way of Montgomery, Radford and Floyd recognized local businesses, individual donors and volunteers who supported the organization throughout the 2012-2013 campaign. A celebratory lunch was held for these local heroes, hosted by The Farmhouse Restaurant in Christiansburg.

“With the continuous needs of the community and decrease in donation dollars over the last few years, our community has taken a hard hit. It’s nice to celebrate all of our community members and companies who see those challenges and use it as fuel to do more. This is an amazingly giving community that strives each day to make the NRV a better place for everyone. With the support of our community we have done a lot this last year. It’s great to celebrate the efforts of local people who make it all possible. The real superheroes in our community!” said, Kymn Davidson-Hamley, United Way Executive Director.
